KBDI Award Winner for Best Large Kitchen Victoria

This large and unified space included the kitchen, meals and living room for a new residence overlooking the sand dunes in Ocean Grove with Architecture by Architecture Works and Landscape by Jim Sinatra. The design solution required that this kitchen connect with the superb ocean views, blocking out any neighboring houses and this was achieved by reversing the traditional position of the sink at the window with the hot plate and then addressing the spatial practicalities of the kitchen design. The mirror visually connects the person at the sink with the ocean views and the activities going on in the meals and living room. This Kitchen received Award for Best Large Kitchen Victoria and Rina Cohen was Awarded Kitchen Designer of the Year Victoria 2009-10.
